Château Brun high up on the Saint-Émilion
plateau, they make wine as it should be made
with all of his extended
family playing a part in tending the vineyard,
picking the grapes, making the wine and
preparing it for sale. Their 2008 is glorious
and ready to drink right now.
The wine has
delicious dark fruits and smoothness from the
merlot and the 2008 vintage works beautifully in
its favour. Extremely approachable, drinking
unbelievably well now and a perfect dinner party
claret.
