A Happy Ever After Tale At
Guide Dogs
At some point in our lives, most of us claim to have a book in
us. Few of us ever actually write it. Even fewer of us get
published.
Guide Dog owner Joanne Roberts from Ellesmere Port, Cheshire,
has done exactly that. Her new eBook,
Confessions of a Guide
Dog, is her story of her own experiences told through the eyes
of her beloved Guide Dog Uska who transformed her life when she
was 36.
It took her six months to write, working on her own, for hours
every day. Joanne has had to be incredibly determined to get her
book published and overcame plenty of challenges on the way. The
resulting book is humorously written, including moments of
despair and tears, as well as moments of triumph, joy and, most
importantly, hope.
"Writing
your own book", Joanne agrees, "isn't for the faint hearted. A
strong sense of humour and the bizarre really helps". Beyond
that, she says "you need to love your subject matter".
