of the fastest growing sports nutrition businesses in the UK,
Predator
Nutrition, has opened its new
flagship concept store in Leeds city
centre.
Having just celebrated its fifth birthday, the Leeds based company has
grown 40% year on year and has enjoyed a rapid rise in sales and profits
in 2013.
Background:
Reggie Johal, Founder and MD, started
Predator Nutrition from his family
home. Having previously worked at Deloitte and Touche in London, Reggie
was keen to follow his passion of becoming an American Football Player
and left the professional services industry to pursue that dream.
Successfully playing American Football for Great Britain, Reggie
passionately trained and perfected his nutritional intake, reading and
understanding everything there was to know about health and nutrition.
Predator Nutrition was set up in 2008 with the one goal of being the
No.1 supplement retailer in the UK. We have grown every year becoming
not just the leading retailer but expanding into the high street while
growing our wholesale business to serve the globe.
Frustrated by the lack of choice in sports nutrition and the fact some
brands had little representation in the UK market place, Reggie saw a
gap in the market. With his first hand experience of the dedication
needed to become a professional athlete, he knew he had the knowledge
and experience to help others reach their physical goals. He turned his
love of sport into a very viable business;

New Concept Store:
Instead of offering the traditional layout of a so called normal store,
Predator Nutrition’s retail space will allow shoppers to enjoy a
complete unique customer experience, by offering workshops and
consultations on training and nutrition and specialist therapies
including sports massage and physiotherapy.
Customers can sit down and relax in the chill out area and enjoy some
delicious protein recipes, protein ice-cream or choose a pre or post
work out drink from the supplement dispenser. Ensuring that
Predator
Nutrition store is a complete one-stop shop for all health and fitness
needs.
The
concept store is minimal and modular in design. The 1,256 sq ft store
will be home to 10 exclusive brands. Customers will have access to the
Predator Nutrition community in store via touch screen interaction which
will allow them to search for products as well as giving them access to
the company website knowledge base.
As well as featuring
a unique break (chill out) out area where customers can sit down and
watch video content on training, supplement reviews and interviews with
leading
experts.
